HOLTZINGER FRUIT RESTRUCTURES FIELD DEPARTMENT, APPOINTS JERAMY VANVLECK DIRECTOR

Yakima, WA – June 5, 2015

Holtzinger’s announced today a restructuring of their Field Department.  In an effort to align itself to ever-changing market dynamics, and to position itself as a champion for the independent grower, it became necessary to place uniquely qualified individuals in positions to address grower needs and concerns.  The changes are as follows:

Jeramy VanVleck has been named Director of Field Development.  Jeramy is third generation in an apple industry family.  His knowledge of growing practices may be second-to-none in the packer community.  He also has a well-rounded background that includes experience in shipping, packing, inventory control, storage, quality control, food safety, sales and production coordination.

“It is imperative that we have an individual in this position that knows the life of a grower.  I am truly excited that Jeramy can work in this area and I believe he will have a positive impact on the long term success of our grower partners”.  said Dave Henze, President.

Holtzinger has also appointed Jorge Sanchez Jr. and Freddy Sanchez as Grower/Partner Managers.  These individuals bring bi-lingual skills and a strong background in fruit packing operations.  Jon Barry will continue to manage key growers and lend skills to mentor and strengthen the team. Carol Monholland will increase her role in the company as Holtzinger moves to an optimized grower pooling program.

Holtzinger is appreciative of our growers that support us as we make this and future changes to significantly improve grower returns in a depressed market that is faced with dramatically increasing supply.
